What’s new is pleased to announce that Sour Grapes – A Comic Strip by Tim Jones will now air weekly on WhatsUpNewp.com.

Tim Jones is the creator, artist, and writer of the wildly popular, self-syndicated comic book, “SOUR GRAPES”; a comic about “Aesop”, a miserable flying dog and his strange friends, all living in a problematic and troubled world. Sour Grapes is currently published in several newspapers in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, California and Texas and is also available online.

Tim grew up in Attleboro, Massachusetts and now lives in Smithfield, Rhode Island with his wife and two daughters. He has been a freelance designer for over 20 years. Tim is a member of the National Cartoonists Society and a member of ARIA (Association of Rhode Island Authors). He has created several Sour Grapes compilation and coloring books. Tim teaches comics and speaks at local schools and libraries. He also appears at various book signings, events, and comic book conventions.

We’re incredibly excited to add Tim (and Aesop) to our regular list of regular contributors and, of course, we look forward to reading Sour Grapes every Tuesday.

Ryan Belmore is the owner and publisher of What’s Up Newp. He was born and raised in Rhode Island and graduated from high school in Coventry. He is Vice President of the Fort Adams Trust and sits on the board of the Potter League for Animals. Ryan is also currently Editor – North America for Mountain News, publisher of OnTheSnow. Ryan is a member of the Local Independent Online News Editors (LION) and the North American Snowsports Journalists Association (NASJA).
