Last week we mentioned that Sunday Comics would be getting a revamp in the coming weeks. We will be bringing new bands to the feature. But first, we want to know which of the elders are worth saving.
Here it is: The titular part of Kotaku’s Sunday Comics Deathmatch. Tell us, if you edited this feature, which ones you would keep. Everyone is up for re-election, except for two, who we removed from the overhaul for the following reasons:
• Ctrl-Alt-Delete. His “Sillies” haven’t been updated for a month. The main CAD comic is often continuity-based, which does not lend itself to a one-comic-a-week release schedule.
• Numerical disorders. It is abandoned for infrequent updates.
Below, you’ll see galleries of three recent strips for each webcomic. After the galleries, you will see a ballot. Check the names of webcomics that you think should stay in Kotaku’s Sunday Comics. You can vote for as many people as you want. Voting for these features will close on October 30, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. MT. By all means, get your friends, family and pets to vote on this, via Facebook or Twitter. We really want to see strong voter turnout here.

Inclusion in the Sunday Comics remake will depend on more than just a vote. For any new comics, we must obtain permission from the creators to republish their comics (we will contact the new winners after voting ends). We also haven’t established the final feature count yet. We will review how many strips generate an enthusiastic response, and we reserve the right to exercise final editorial judgment. But rest assured, the vote of the readership will weigh heavily in our decision.
Thank you for your thoughtful comments. Now vote!
