Downtown Needles, CA: Spike, the cartoon character from the Peanuts statue, has a new home inside the Needles Regional Museum.

Spike is Snoopy’s brother who lives outside of Needles, California, and is a character in Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts comic strip along with Woodstock, Snoopy, and Charlie Brown.

The life-size statue of Spike was introduced to the community at the Needles Chamber of Commerce Awards and Dinner in October 2014 thanks to business owner Joe Jones.

Spike was on display at the Subway Sandwich Shop inside the Shell Gas Station off Needles Highway off Interstate 40 for a few years before moving to the Needles Regional Museum on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

You can come say hi to Spike and learn about the Peanuts comic book characters and Charles M. Schulz, as well as the history of the community inside the Needles Regional Museum.

Don’t forget to stop inside the Needles’ Museum Thrift Store, also known as the Community Thrift Store, where you can find a variety of different items and small trinkets as well as clothes, shoes, mugs and dishes, books and much more. more, and shopping in the store helps with the wonderful Regional Needle Museum.

The Needles Regional Museum is open 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PST Monday through Saturday, and the Community Thrift Store is open 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PST Monday through Saturday.

The Needles Regional Museum and Community Thrift Store is located at 929 Front Street off G Street, directly across from Santa Fe Park.
