Which next comic should get the musical treatment? – Multiversity comics

Last night saw NBC air Anne Live!a new version of the classic musical Anne, based on the classic comic “Little Orphan Annie”. We’ll be reviewing the new version in a few days, but until then we have to think: what other comic should have a musical?

Now we already have You are a good man, Charlie Brown, so “Peanuts” came out. Although not originally comic book characters, Superman AND Spider-Man have both had newspaper comics and musicals based on them (It’s a bird… It’s a plane… It’s Superman and Spider-Man: Extinguish the Darkness). The Addams Family, Doonesburyand Little Abner all also had varying degrees of success on Broadway. But what is the next step?

Vote in our reader poll and check back Monday for the results. If we forgot your favorite comic, let us know in the comments. And remember, even if your choice doesn’t win, the sun will be go out tomorrow.
